Point Of View Shot

This shot shows a view from the subject's perspective. It is usually edited in such a way that it is obvious whose POV it is. A director may use this shot in order to figuratively get the audience to walk a mile in the characters shoes, or perhaps to make the audience more empathetic to the character's plight.
